Welcome to the Olalla Valley Vineyard and Winery
Olalla Valley Vineyard and Winery is situated on a promontory over looking Olalla Bay, Puget Sound and Vashon Island. The Vineyard consists of 8 acres of grape vines and berries. The Vineyard grows a variety of wine grapes. At the vineyard we grow Cabernet Franc, Voignier, Merlot, Pinot Noir, Pinot Gris and Agria varieties of wine grapes. Only small amounts of wine from each variety is produced. Raspberry and Blackberries are also grown at the Vineyard.
The wines produced at the Winery are labeled under the name of “Croatian Family”. The Vintner is of Croatian descendant and comes from a long line of winemakers. The art and love of wine making was passed down through the generations from Croatia to the Gig Harbor area. The wines are made in the “old world” tradition. All fruit is hand picked. Sulfites are only used in the initial phase to kill unwanted yeast. After fermentation no sulfites are used. The wines are not filtered. Bottling and labeling are also done by hand. The entire process from growing the vines the bottling the wines is all done within the Family.
